Wining and Dining Through History

All my life I've been traveling to see and learn about history and the natural world One thing I've realized - California has it all, from incredible geology to evidence of prehistory; from places that evoke the mission era to exciting and culturally diverse modern cities. I'll be posting some great travel ideas and insights, but meanwhile be sure to read my book On A Mission: The Real Story of the California Missions. The Travel section is packed with wonderful road trip itineraries for immersing yourself in history and for seeing some beautiful, unspoiled landscapes little changed since the mission era. (That's one of the miracles of California travel - those places still exist!) Oh - and there are tons of great places to try superb wine and food.
